Web Development Resources

💡 A list of resources for web development that I have used on and off.

Resources

Paid

  • Porkbun
  • Cheap registrar to buy your domains from. It’s known in the community for being reliable and cheap and it comes with SSL certificates with auto renewal.

    Free

  • Zoho mail
  • Upon getting your domain, you can use Zoho to set up email addresses, free of charge and ad-free. And, if you don’t want yet another application in your devices, I recommend setting up a connection to your main emails with outlook if you’re already a user.

  • Vercel
  • Its hobby package allows developers to deploy applications that are personal or non-commercial. The deployment process is painless to crack and their dashboard gives a pretty awesome overview of all your applications.

  • Codeandsandbox
  • A cloud development platform, which I personally use to create a library of sorts, “tips and tricks” of how to do certain things. The one downside I encountered is that, as a free user, all your sandboxes are public.

  • Cloudflare
  • Application security and performance, Cloudflare is super easy to setup and comes with services such as CDN, SSL certificate and DNS. Moreover, setting up subdomains for your domain is rather straightforward too.

    Free For Students

  • GitHub student developer pack
  • A must have if you want to play around with GitHub Pro features, JetBrains, Codespaces, cloud services and more.
